Description

This is a beautiful example of a traditional Ulos Batak Harungguan from the Muara region of Lake Toba. Known as the “King of Ulos,” this textile is a masterful display of the weaver’s skill, combining various motifs from different Ulos types into a single, harmonious design. The rich, earthy colours are achieved through a meticulous natural dyeing process, a testament to the sustainable and traditional craftsmanship of the Toba Batak people. This is more than a cloth; it is a wearable legacy, a symbol of unity, and a piece of living history.

Materials:

* Made from 100% naturally dyed cotton yarn.

* 1-panel textiles, secured with Sirat weaving (the end section that holds the frills) *

Dimensions approximately:

* 82 inches x 26 inches (approximately 208 cm long  x 66 cm wide)

Care instructions: 

* We highly recommend dry-cleaning or spot-cleaning only.

* Do not bleach or soak.

* NOT SUITABLE FOR MACHINE WASHING.
